Description
Seeking an organized candidate to assist in the human resources department.  Duties of the position are listed in the job description.  Successful candidate will have open communication, creativity and possess excellent phone skills and organizational skills.  Candidate must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement while maintaining confidentiality.
 

OBJECTIVE:  UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE POSITION AS OUTLINED BELOW AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH PRESCRIBED ROUTINE AND PROCEDURES.

 

DUTIES:

*         TYPE ALL MATERIAL, AS REQUESTED.

*         ASSIST DEPARTMENT MANAGER IN THE COMPLETION OF HIS/HER DUTIES.

*         MAINTAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH STAFF MEMBERS,

 SUPPORT GROUPS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES.

*         POST JOB OPENINGS AGENCY-WIDE AND WITH OTHER APPROVED            

*                     AGENCIES.

*         PERFORM AUTHORIZED REFERENCE CHECKS, BACKGROUND CHECKS AND                      GATHER INFORMATION AS NEEDED TO PROCESS JOB                                     APPLICATIONS.

*         SCREEN AND REVIEW APPLICATIONS.

*         COMMUNICATE WITH APPLICANTS IN A POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER (INBOUND AND OUTBOUND CALLS).

*         ASSIST IN COORDINATING APPLICANTS PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK AND SETTING UP ORIENTATIONS WITH APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENTS.

*          ASSIST IN MAINTAINING EMPLOYEE DIRECTORY AND EMPLOYEE FILES.

*         ASSIGN AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYEE BADGES IN A TIMELY MANNER.

*         WRITE THE WELLNESS NEWSLETTER WITH CREATIVITY ON APPROVED TOPICS.

*         ENTER DATA INTO HRIS AND BADGE SYSTEMS WITH ACCURACY.

*         COMPLETE ALL WORK ACCORDING TO THE HIGH QUALITY

STANDARDS SET BY HDC AND ITS ACCREDITING BODIES.

*         FOLLOW ALL HDC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

*         PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.      

*         ROTATE ON PHONES DURING LUNCH, INSERVICE, AND AS NEEDED.

*         MAINTAIN OPEN COMMUNICATION.

*         MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF ALL MATERIALS HANDLED AND FOLLOW CONFIDENTIALITY AND HIPAA POLICIES.

*         SPECIAL PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

*         REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT ASSIGNED BUILDING.

*         PERFORM RELATED WORK AS REQUESTED.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

CONSIDERABLE KNOWLEDGE OF OFFICE PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES AND SKILL IN THEIR APPLICATION.

CONSIDERABLE KNOWLEDGE OF BUSINESS ENGLISH, SPELLING AND COMPOSITION.

COMPUTER SKILLS WITH THE ABILITY TO TYPE RAPIDLY AND CORRECTLY FROM CLEAN COPY AND CORRECTED MANUSCRIPTS.

 

ABILITY TO UTILIZE MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE INCLUDING PUBLISHER.

ABILITY TO MEET AND DEAL WITH PEOPLE AND MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE PUBLIC AND STAFF MEMBERS.

ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND EXERCISE DISCRETION.

USE CREATIVITY IN WORK.

ABILITY TO MONITOR AND ANTICIPATE ROUTINE NEEDS OF THE DEPARTMENTS.

ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY ORALLY AND IN WRITING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

ABILITY TO MEET PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT (I.E.CRIMINAL                BACKGROUND CHECK).

              ABILITY TO MEET EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS (I.E. PRE-HEALTH                             CERTIFICATION, TB TEST).

ABILITY TO LIFT FROM FLOOR/CARRY/TRANSFER MATERIALS AND PRODUCT UP TO 50 POUNDS.                                                                                             

 

MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND AUTO INSURANCE.

           

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

 

                        HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED EQUIVALENT.

                        THREE YEARS RELATED OFFICE EXPERIENCE.

COLLEGE TRAINING MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR OFFICE EXPERIENCE.
