This position gives medications, follows medication treatment and charting, and knows residents and reactions to medications. Full-time 1st or 2nd shift position available at our Residential Center. Position will follow and abide by all guidelines. Must have 60 hour certified nurse aide course and medication administration course in the State of Iowa. Position will work rotating weekends and some holidays. Having only a Med Manager Certification does not qualify for this positon. Will be required to have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
$17.00/hr plus shift differential for 2nd shift

Title: Certified Medication Aide
Responsible to: Director of Nursing at Residential Center and Assistant Program Director at East Campus
Objective:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, this position has responsibility for the day to day care of assigned participants and the development and maintenance of self-help skills to those individuals. Within the framework of professional, regulatory, facility, and physician orders, administers medication to assigned individuals. Work with a licensed nurse.
